And what is that you say, oh yeah, the job hunt, I am supposed to be finding a job too? Well here is what is going on! I have have an interview this coming Monday with a Wireless Provider to be their Major Account Executive (working with mid to major accounts of 50 to 1,000 employees) selling cellular contracts, phones, mobile broadband serves, etc here in Colorado Springs. I cannot begin to tell everyone just how excited I am for this interview. Not only are they a major player in the personal cell phone industry, but they are really making a push to pick up the business side of things too. That is exciting for me as this is a position that they have not had before. So I get to do my thing, blaze new trails, you know sling from the hip! Just my style.
All of this means I have been spending the last few days since Turkey day studying. Yes, studying! This leads me to Wacky Wednesday's Word of the day:
Study n., pl. -ies.
- The act or process of studying.
- The pursuit of knowledge, as by reading, observation, or research.*
- Attentive scrutiny.
- A branch of knowledge.
- studies A branch or department of learning: graduate studies.
Yes, I know what you are thinking, but Mike, I am out of school now, I don't have to study anymore! To that I say, WRONG! Everyday is a day to study, if you are not growing, you are dying! And this job search time has really helped me to realize this. If you are out with me right now in the world of unemployment land, do yourself a favor and start studying. Be prepared for that interview before you even get it, don't wait to get it. I believe that if you act "as if" then when it is time to be, you will be ready! If you have any questions on this, or need help with interview questions to be studying please please please email me at mikebaker7@gmail.com. I would be glad to help you along anyway that I can!
Those are my thoughts of the day! I apologize to daily readers for it being a while since the last post, but man this studying things is tough!

PS Drew said his first "bad word" tonight...it rhymes with trucker and isn't sucker:) Oh the fun that awaits you!
Congrats on the interview, I hope all goes well.
Great word of the day BTW. I totally agree with the fact that we never stop learning and growing, I am a Social Worker and we have to keep up all the time on new laws and services that better assist our residents, if not then we are not doing what we believe in as a profession. Anyway again, good luck on the interview, can't wait to hear how it goes.
Way to go!!!! I knew it wouldn'd be long til they found out you were available and the calls would start coming in!!!!! So true about loving yourself and being positive and believing in yourself!!! It has taken me 60 years, but I am finally loving myself and being positive and happier than ever!!!! Isn't it great you figured it out at 29???
